Who is SOS?
SOS is owned and
operated by
Sara Henderson. A Los Angeles
native, Sara eventually realized the stork had dropped her in the wrong
geographic
location and moved east. She has been a "native Iowan" for the past
ten years.
With more than 20 years' experience working with people at all skill
levels in
a number of industries, Sara has earned a unique ability to communicate
and
support, both one-on-one and in small groups. Her sense of humor and
flexibility have allowed her to adapt to a number of challenges and
turn them
into winning situations, a skill she brings to all of her clients.
Sara has worked in
construction, real estate
sales and development, entertainment, marketing, investment banking,
non-profit
administration, and most recently, the law.
Sara is a member
of the Womens' Development Connection and the National
Association of Women Business Owners, Central Iowa Chapter
(Communications & PR Chair). She is also a founder and vice
president of The Pet Project Midwest.
Giving back
Sara
strongly believes giving back is as important as "taking in." To that
end, SOS gives at least 10% of its time each month to support various
non-profit organizations. Favorites are Mentor
Iowa,
the
Polk County Extension Master Gardener Program, and Best Friends
Animal Society.
